KS2 Reading Comprehension Pack – Year 6
Designed for whole-class reading sessions in preparation for an Alma-inspired narrative writing piece for Year 6 moderation, this pack supports the teaching of all KS2 National Curriculum reading strands.
The questions cover a wide range of skills, including: find and copy, vocabulary, sequencing and ordering events, inference, and understanding characters’ impressions and feelings. Each question mirrors the style and format of KS2 SATs reading questions, helping pupils become familiar with the structure and expectations of the assessment.
The pack can also be used to explore themes, mood, and the impact of language choices, encouraging deeper discussion and analysis during guided or whole-class reading.
All worksheets are ready to photocopy, and answer sheets are included for easy marking and feedback.
