AQA A Level Dance: New Specification: Rambert Dance Company

This PowerPoint covers the general background and history of Rambert Dance Company. This is to give students a basic understanding of the compulsory Area of Study for the AQA A Level specification.

As well as (referenced) information, there are slides to test the knowledge of the students to help them remember key datas and names associated with the company. There are AQA specification example questions included so that students can attempt to answer them whilst learning about the key artistic directors and influential techniques that helped shaped the company. Tasks have also been included to break down the heavy information that the students must learn. These tasks include two assignments that could be used for home learning and encourage independent learning.

This presentation can be used to introduce the compulsory Area of Study and help to familiarise students with key dates and names before going into depth on the three practitioners that must be studied in association with Rambert Dance Company.
