Lesson to assist students with essay writing. The topic is on psychopathology (Discuss cognitive treatments for depression), but can be used for revision too.
- Starter provided
- Assess confidence of essay writing.
- Students to complete a knowledge quiz to recap AO1, then read a poor example of an answer to review. They look at an example of how this is improved before having a go at improving a paragraph themselves.
- Finally, an AO1 paragraph is written for them, they need to complete the AO3 paragraphs using the structure learnt throughout the lesson.
- Re-assess confidence at the end of the lesson.
