AQA Sociology 9-1 GCSE: Social debates

This resource is designed to introduce students to Sociology at GCSE. This lesson helps students to identify what a social debate is in preparation for their future studies. The particular focus of this lesson is to briefly recap on consensus and conflict theories and there is then a task of completing a trqffic light (all differentiated) on Functionalism and Marxism. Students then look at the debate of the impact of computer games on society to understand what a social debate is. All tasks are colour coded to allow for differentiation either through student choice or teacher direction.
