A full set of 10 lessons covering the topic of World War I:

L1: The Long-Term Causes of WWI
L2: Europe in 1914 - the short-term causes

L4/5: Why did men choose to go to war? - WWI propaganda, with a large focus on analysing sources in groups
L6: Trench Life
L7: Key battles of WWI - a Talk4Writing activity!
L8/9: The Treaty of Versailles - L9 includes an assessment
L10: Peer Assessment and DIRT

A variety of activities have been included within these lessons to maximise engagement and cater for differing learning styles. Examples of activities include - sketch notes, talk4writing, poster-making, the use of Dulux colour charts for ranking and plenty of opportunities to work on source analysis and skills vital for GCSE. Challenge activities (in pink bubbles) have also been included in each lesson.

Used with a higher-ability Year 9 class (KS3), but can easily be adapted to fit other ages and abilities.
Some parts, i.e. information, have been taken from other resources, but most activities are my own.
