  1. Group 1 Metals: Properties & Water Reactions – trends in physical/chemical properties; reactions with water (Li, Na, K); balanced equations and observations.

  2. Group 1 Metals: Oxygen Reactions & Reactivity – formation of metal oxides; explaining increased reactivity down the group using electron-shell structure.

  3. Group 7 Halogens: Properties & Trends – colours, states, melting/boiling point trends; intermolecular forces; bonding patterns; demonstrations and quizzes.

  4. Group 7 Displacement Reactions – halogen–halide displacement; spotting-tile observations; reactivity order; word, symbol and ionic equations; Separate Chemistry extension on decreasing reactivity.

Each lesson includes starter slides with title, learning goals and tasks, along with key terms, bolded explanations, and content checked against the specification and examination papers.
