This resource is aimed at upper primary/lower high school students who are studying contemporary dance. This resource was used with year 6 students.
As part of their assessment, students had to create contemporary dance choreography but needed to include a particular contemporary movement in their dance. Each movement and description on this resource was cut up and handed out to students. They had previously been taught what each movement looked like and how to dance this.
This resource could be used in an assessment task, as a whole class activity or as a poster displayed in a classroom explaining different aspects of contemporary dance.
