This resource is designed for A-Level or would suit students studying on an Access Diploma in Law.
The learning objective of this resource is to get students to understand the different sentencing tariffs available for crimes and understand the difference between youth and adult sentencing.

The learners first of all have to guess who is the offender (mug shots) at the top of the page. Then identify the type of offence committed i.e. Murder or Manslaughter and have a guess at the type of sentence given by the Courts. Learners have to identify which Court the offender was sentenced at for example the Mags or Crown court.
Examples of the offenders used in the resource include; Thompson & Venables, Fred & Rose West, Daniel Bartlam and Peter Sutcliffe.
The resource is contained on a word document, which can be printed out and given in class or uploaded onto smartboard. This also contains an answer sheet for teachers to quickly mark or review the activity.

This resource didn't fit the criteria as advertised. It was more like an activity for KS3 and therefore I couldn't use it for my y13 group. I was very disappointed
