A learning mat containing useful vocabulary to help students to describe a photo. Designed originally to be used as an introduction to the topic "ma zone" (from Studio 1 Vert textbook) and, more specifically, the three pictures from p. 68.

Lesson idea:
Print out copies of the three pictures and give to groups of students. Give them time to discuss/prepare a description of their photo. The groups take it in turns to describe their picture to the rest of the class, who must listen carefully and try to draw what they hear (either as a group, in pairs or individually).
TIP: laminate the mats so that they can be re-used time after time!
