This resource is comprehensive. It is a website with accompanying worksheets and answers designed specifically for secondary French students. It’s educational and fun. It’s always being updated and is relevant for the new MFL GCSE from 2024 onwards.

The website has 12 sections, one per month, with each month focussed on cultural events from that month. Each month has:

1. A selection of games
2. Quotes, Idioms, Tongue Twisters
3. Book, podcast, film, story and music recommendations
4. Social media suggestions, for example, French Instagramers, Twitter, YouTubers
5. French recipie ideas…and more!

Once purchased you’ll get the website with the full 12 months, pdf with an accompanying worksheets and answers and also a ‘A Moment of Culture Menu’ which is a selection of activities that can be used for any month.

I use this for:

1. Students with poor attendance - they can do this from anywhere
2. To help increase uptake and make language learning fun!
3. For emergencies! The printer is not working, last mintue cover (e.g. I’m covering a class on zero notice, a member of my team has called in sick last minute),
4. I use it as a starter/plenary activity, students have 10 minutes to have a browse.
5. Homework - it’s a monthly, fun homework
6. I use it with and without accompanying worksheets
