Frog Matching Colour Recognition Color Recognition

This frog themed activity is a great way for your students to work on their colour sorting / color sorting skills. This resource can either be used as a simple colour matching activity where students have to match the same colour frog to the lily pad, or you can use the instruction task cards included. The instruction task cards contain a small instruction (with symbol support) for students to read/listen to and then follow. For example ‘put 3 blue frogs on the green lily pad.’ The task cards are a great way to see if your students are not only able to read the instruction, but to also take meaning and understanding from it and know what to do next.
The vocabulary is suitable for American or British classrooms. (Color, Colour etc.)
Instructions
• Print out the lily pad pages and laminate them.
• Print out the frogs, cut them out individually and laminate them.
• Print out the task cards if using and laminate them.
• Students can then either match the colour frogs to the matching lily pad or use the instruction task cards to complete the activity.
