A great resource on the topic of interpreting data from tables and graphs. Learners will complete tables and graphs, as well as interpreting a range of data from a variety of sources.

I use this activity with both my Functional Skills Level 1 and 2 learners, and with my GCSE class to assist them with the problem solving aspect of the syllabus. The activity can be easily adapted by tutors.

It is ideal for testing learners knowledge and application of skills in the following areas:

Graphs (bar and scatter)
Correlations
Reading Data From Tables
Completing Tables
Fractions
Percentages
Using Formula
Averages (mean/range)
Money
Comparing Prices
Percentage Decrease

The activity is laid out in the style/format of an extended Functional Exam Question. Learners must read and use the information sheets to assist them with the questions throughout the activity.

The activity also includes Challenge Questions, designed to challenge higher ability learners.
