A simple but very effective A4 worksheet to guide students to observe an artwork, think about it and then use their conclusions to help them to develop skills and personal ideas for their own artwork through research and experimentation.

Also includes a second sheet showing an example response to ‘The Wounded Deer’ 1946 by Frida Khalo which could be used for a stimulus for a painting project in itself.

Suitable for use at GCSE, at KS3 to prepare for GCSE and by Primary teachers as a quick and easy guide to talking about and working from artworks.
This can be copied in black and white.
