Hello,

I have planned this lesson for the OCR Sociology 2015 Spec - Component 1 Section A: Gender Identity.

I have used the textbook endorsed by the board (Brisbane et al, 2015) and the Student Guide (Chapman, 2016). You do not need the textbook for the lesson as all information required is on the slides.

The lesson includes starter activity, learning objectives, progress checks, exam questions, lots of engaging videos and images throughout, plenary, class worksheet, homework reading summary worksheet (textbook needed).

Learning objectives are:
1. To explain how gender identities are created, including agencies of socialisation.
2. To apply evidence to understand different aspects of an individual’s identity, their relative importance to individuals and ways in which they may intersect.
3. To assess how gender identities are changing.

If you have any questions please do ask and I will help soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Mel
