Teaching about family and friends through topic based learning (Harry Potter). This lesson covers family members and briefly revisits phonics and introducing oneself. I used it with Year 7 beginners and they loved it. The activities attached are a Hogwarts Application form, as well as a short reading comprehension.

This has saved so much work - lots of really practical tasks, where the students are going to be working the language out for themselves. I am going to adapt this as part of a unit of work for KS2. Thanks so much!
