Forty fully worked, mark-scheme-annotated questions on Iterative Methods for OCR GCSE (9-1) Higher Mathematics (J560, content reference 6.03e). Every solution breaks the method down to one step per line, with a right-margin note on each line and OCR-style M/A/B marks folded in on the real mark-scheme lines. Progressive difficulty runs Easy to Challenging: evaluating a function at each end of an interval, the sign-change ‘show that a solution lies between x = a and x = b’ technique, decimal search and trial and improvement to 1 and 2 decimal places, interval bisection, reading multiple roots from a table of values, and ‘explain why’ reasoning questions on when an iterative method is or is not appropriate. Built for OCR specifically: iteration is de-formalised on this spec (systematic sign-change methods, no forced recurrence notation, and the spec states specific methods will not be requested), and OCR provides no formula sheet, so the pack opens with the sign-change principle and the exact-versus-estimate distinction, and every worked answer uses OCR’s own terminology and marking, including the M3-M2-M1 accuracy-mark cascade. The iteration formula is shown only as OCR’s accepted SC alternative, never the backbone. Ideal as a revision handout, homework set, or tutor resource.
