This is a full and detailed booklet which takes the reader through all of the various key themes, ideas and areas of interest which appear in “The Strange Case of Dr Jekykll and Mr Hyde”. I originally made this to assist pupils when revising for the 10 mark question, but this is a very useful resource for all pupils studying this text, regardless of the curriculum they are studying within.

The booklet includes detailed notes on the following areas, each with examples AND analysis:

  • The Gothic Genre
  • Atmosphere
  • The Victorian Gentleman
  • Utterson as a Narrator
  • The Role of Minor Characters
  • Symbolism
  • Characterisation of Dr Jekyll
  • Characterisation of Hyde
  • The Theme of Science and Scientific Discovery
  • The Theme of Duality
