This KS3 Design Technology project is to give students in Year 6, 7 or 8 an introduction to DT, designing and making. The project starts by making a simple pencil holder to give the students some hands on experience with tools before designing their final item. The final outcome for this project is a jigsaw made from plastic inside a wooden frame. It introduces the use of coping saws, tenon saws, bench hooks, hand sanding and packaging. It includes homework on key aspects of knowledge including plastics and woods.

Included are:

Workbook including homework, design pages and instructions for making.
Presentation in pdf format to use on the projector to show instructions for making.
Packaging in pdf format to print on A3 card.
