KS3 / KS4 Suspension & Reintegration Pack – Student Workbook + Staff Reintegration Guide
This complete Suspension & Reintegration Pack is designed to support secondary pupils returning to school after a fixed-term suspension, internal isolation or serious behaviour incident.
Rather than treating reintegration as simply “serving the sanction and coming back”, this resource provides a structured, restorative process that helps pupils reflect, take responsibility, understand impact, rebuild trust and make safer choices moving forward.
The pack is ideal for Heads of Year, pastoral leaders, behaviour teams, inclusion staff, mentors and senior leaders who want a consistent and practical approach to reintegration.
The resource includes a full staff reintegration guide, a student reflection workbook, structured follow-up sessions, daily check-ins, parent/carer meeting records and review tools.
Pupils work through:

  • what happened and how the incident developed
  • thoughts, feelings and triggers
  • early warning signs and escalation patterns
  • who was affected and how
  • accountability and repair
  • rebuilding trust
  • identifying supportive adults
  • practising better choices for future situations
  • setting clear reintegration targets
  • planning for a successful return to lessons
The pack also includes a structured Re-entry Meeting Agenda to help staff welcome the pupil back, reset expectations, identify immediate barriers and establish a clear plan for the first day back.
There are 5 follow-up sessions covering:
  1. Understanding What Happened
  2. Triggers, Patterns & Escalation
  3. Impact, Accountability & Repair
  4. Reintegration Supports & Better Choices
  5. My Reintegration Plan & Review
