This powerpoint contains a full lesson on collecting data which is equally suitable for KS3 or GCSE foundation classes. It is interactive, with activities embedded within the lesson for pupils to participate and clearly defined objectives which they must work towards. It teaches pupils how to plan a project including the different types of questions they have to consider, various data collection methods and the data handling cycle. This works well as a stand-alone lesson or could be used in conjunction with pupils planning their own investigation and collecting data for it.
