This lesson on are couples becoming more equal? is part of the unit of work for families and households and couples. This is an interactive lesson, with plenty of discussion opportunities and high-level questioning.

Lesson objectives:

  • To identify recent changes in patterns of women working.
  • To explain how women being in paid work makes a difference to the domestic division of labour.
  • To evaluate the impact of women working in contributing to greater equality.
