A set of three lessons following ‘Les grands événements’ Studio GCSE Higher French Module 8.5. Students are guided to discuss advantages and disadvantages of hosting large events before being reminded of conjunctions and time markers as well as opportunities to evaluate and consolidate their knowledge of different tenses. Students practice their skills through a range of activities from the book enhanced with support and challenge activities as well as additional slides practice the grammar, a gap fill task, a video discussion task, a retreival task, differentiated translations in to English and French and a blockbusters game. The lessons conclude with a role play card task with student friendly criteria and an extended writing task with success criteria to facilitate self/peer assessment.
