Lesson 1 - Location of earthquakes and volcanoes.
The aim of this lesson is to explain and link the location of earthquakes and volcanoes in relation to the plate boundaries. The lesson uses a variety of skills including map work and describing the distribution. Other activities in the lesson include a jigsaw, map reading and jot thoughts. The jigsaw activity could take two lessons, depending on how long you spend on it. I normally complete the jigsaw in pairs and only take one lesson to complete the activities.
