Lesson 3: Plate Boundaries (Literacy Task)
To ensure that Geography has a literacy focus, I devised a lesson focused on explaining how a convergent plate boundary moves. The lesson focuses on an exam question, that students would come across at GCSE, and they would have to answer it. Exemplar answers are included so students have a model answer which they can work from to produce their own. This answer can also be marked by the students so you can show them exactly what they are looking for in their own answer. Students can them peer assess each others work and respond to the feed back. This is a great activity to show progress as students can redraft their work to show improvement.
