This resource is for KS4 students, especially those taking the Higher paper.

The resource consists of a presentation, an activity and a worksheet. Worked solutions to the questions on the worksheet are included in the presentation.

The lesson starts with a revision of converting percentage changes into multipliers.

An example is then given for a repeated percentage change, both by calculating the value after each time period and by using the multiplier raised to a power. To show the need to raise multipliers to a power, another example is given where the percentage change is repeated 10 times.

Students have an activity requiring them to complete the formula for repeated percentage changes, before answering 8 questions on a worksheet.
