Print off these A3 pdf posters for students to fill in themselves, to help them revise knowledge for the upcoming exams. I use the Brain, Buddy, Book, Boss technique. In pairs students must fill in as much of the poster allocated to them, as possible. When stuck, they can join up with another pair of students, to make a small group, and use their buddies to add more detail. They can then either swap incomplete posters with another group OR use their books or revision guides to get them completed. Finally, I intervene to re-cap or re-teach topics that I’ve seen they’re struggling with. So, I have assessed their revision needs first, before launching into revision topics blind.
These are handwritten posters. There are 26 for Paper One and 29 for Paper Two, so 55 posters in total. They cover every topic in the specification and are numbered accordingly e.g. 1.1.3. There are two pdfs, one for each paper.
The style is basic. It is the students that bring the colour and style, making it their own work. We display them around the room once complete.
