SEND Now, Next & Then visual Sequence board

Support smooth lesson transitions, reduce anxiety and build independence with this simple visual lesson resource.

Designed with SEND and SEMH learners in mind, the resource gives pupils a clear visual representation of the lesson structure and expectations.

Useful for pupils who benefit from visual guides and needing to know how long an activity is going to last.

This resource is flexible enough to use across different subjects, ages and ability levels, either with individual pupils or as a whole class visual.

• 5, 10, 15 and 20 minute visual timer cards (duplicated)

The seperate timer cards can be placed under each activity so pupils can not only see what is happening, but also how long it will last.

How to use:

• Simply print, cut out and laminate the boards and cards. I recommend adding hook-and-loop/velcro dots or strips so it can be changed for each lesson.

I use this resource within a SEMH setting to provide additional structure and predictability during lessons, but it would also be suitable for mainstream SEND support, nurture groups and intervention spaces.
