*Sub plan can be used even if students do not have any prior knowledge of Spanish

Part 1: Cognates: Write the English translation of each word. (50 total)

Part 2: Hispanic countries: Capitals and Currency

For each country, do an on-line search and write the capital and the currency used in Spanish. (All 21 countries included)

Part 3: Hispanic countries: Foods and Landmarks

For each country, do an on-line search and write one food item and one famous landmark (or tourist attraction). The names of foods and places can be in English or Spanish.(All 21 countries included)

Part 4: Famous Hispanics: For each category, do an on-line search and write the names of actors, singers, musicians, artists (painters). All people can be from Spanish speaking countries, or they can be of Hispanic descent but living in the U.S. Names of deceased actors, singers, musicians, artists (painters) are also acceptable.
