Imposters – Legislation Edition
The Imposters: Legislation Edition is an interactive learning activity designed to help students strengthen their understanding of key legislation in early years practice. Blending critical thinking with teamwork, the activity challenges learners to analyse a detailed case study and identify where statutory requirements are being met—and where they are being subtly breached.

Learners take on hidden roles as either TRUE (legislation followed) or Imposters (legislation not followed), using their knowledge to justify decisions, debate interpretations, and persuade others during discussion and voting rounds. The twist lies in uncovering which legislation cards are being correctly applied and which have been compromised within the scenario.

This engaging format not only deepens legal awareness but also encourages communication, confidence, and collaborative problem solving—making it an effective and memorable way to explore the responsibilities that underpin safe and high quality early years provision.
