This is a lesson was made for a KS5 lesson on the impact of secularism on sexual ethics on the OCR Religious Studies syllabus. The lesson last for approximately 1hr 30mins. The lesson covers the following objectives:

  • To explore and analyse Mill’s liberty principle.
  • To learn about the changes in the law regarding homosexuality.

The lesson includes the following activities: pair discussion, table activity, the creation of either a newspaper article or graphic organiser, plenary. This lesson includes differentiation in the form of differentiation by choice. Activity timings and questioning is included in the notes section of the PowerPoint.

NOTE This lesson requires access to the OCR Religious Studies Year 2 textbook.
