


An example diary text based on Chapter 1 of the fantasy novel Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (Book 1 of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series) by Rick Riordan with differentiated planning sheets and word banks.
The model diary entry is written from Percy’s point of view on the day he visits the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The exemplar text can be used as a WAGOLL diary text to examine before pupils plan and write their own diary entry based on his chapter or the next few chapters.
