What is a Dictogloss; A type of supported dictation. The teacher reads a short, curriculum-related text several times and the learners try to produce their own version as close to the original as possible.
How it works
Step 1: Read the story to the class, using captions and images.
Step2: Retell the story only with just images on the board and no captions.
Step 3: Put each picture on the board one at a time and students can either write the whole story out just using the pictures or students can hold up the caption for each picture. (This is best for lower ability)
