This is the 6th in a set of unofficial exam papers for the Research Methods Section of the Psychology A level exam.

The stimulus provides information about testing the relationship between time spent on social media and mood.

This paper tests:

  • Identification of an appropriate hypothesis
  • Operationalized co-variables
  • Identification and justification of sampling techniques
  • The purpose of filler questions
  • Writing a filler question
  • Type of data
  • Identification of and Addressing ethical issues
  • Interpretation of a table of descriptive stats
  • Identification of a control measure
  • The purpose of replication in relation to the study
  • Writing a reference
  • Design a study (12 marks) (An experiment including the procedure, design, variables, control measures, descriptive and inferential stats)
