VIC Report Comments Foundation-Year 2

Victorian report comments for Foundation (Prep) to Year 2: write English, mathematics, science and general comments for every student in one sitting. Type first names, pick a level for each subject (Well above, Above, At, Below or Well below) and an optional effort level, and the picker writes four comments per student: strengths from the areas you taught this semester, one next step with an activity, and a general comment with work habits.

Made for Victorian semester reports: many Victorian schools report against a five-point scale and write a comment for each learning area plus a general comment. The comments never name a level, a label or a score, and your teacher judgement scores stay in your school’s system. Set your school’s comment limit in characters or words. Students still working towards the Foundation level (Levels A to D) are not covered by the five-point scale: choose Well below and add a personal note.

How the picker works:

• Mark the areas you taught; strengths come only from those, and the next step comes from a different area
• Live character and word counters for all four comments; an optional limit turns a comment red when it is over
• Try another reshuffles the wording for one student; Print View lists every comment ready to copy
• In our tests of 40 classes of 30, no two students received the same comment
• Wording written for the age group: concrete, play-based lines for Foundation; recounts, tens and ones, halves and quarters for Years 1-2
