KS2 Descriptive Writing Paragraph Model: A Mystery! Starter Paragraph set in 3 different times - past/present/future. These paragraphs can be used to illustrate key features of KS2 descriptive writing pupils all start with the same character at the beginning of a mystery story, but chooses one of 3 beginnings - each paragraph sets the character in a different time - one from the past, one present day and one set in the future. Fun way to encourage creative writing. Used when working with small groups of Year 6 pupils tasked with writing their own short narrative paragraph(s). Suitable for KS2.

A Greek Myth Theseus and Hydra Re-imagined Powerpoint Whilst studying Greek myths with Year 5, their task was to write their own version of a Greek myth, using a hero and a monster of their choice. Working with a small group, I created my own Greek myth with the characters of Theseus and the monster Hydra to use as an example of how a myth could be re-imagined – modelling some of the descriptive language and grammatical features and structure that they could use in their own story. This could be used for pupils as an example of how to create their own version of a Greek myth too. Suitable for KS2 - particularly Year 5 and Year 6.

Here is a simple quick to make Easter Egg cross stitch patterns - to use with KS2 pupils, although it may also be suitable for upper years of KS1. The colour cross stitch pattern chart is on a pdf. The eggs can be completed in any colour. Pictures and patterns are a guide only. This has coloured crosses. Each cross is equal to one cross stitch. I have also included some basic cross stitch information/instructions. Would be great to use as front of a Handmade Easter Card or as a lovely framed picture! Finished size of each egg: approx: 5cm x 4cm The pattern is stitched on 6 count binca material using 6 strands of stranded cotton and a blunt tapestry needle.

Cross Stitch Positive Words Binca Pattern Positive Mind set cross stitch pattern on binca fabric Here is a simple, fun cross stitch pattern to use with KS2 pupils, although it may be suitable for upper years of KS1 also. ** Dream, Hope, Believe, Achieve** I have included some basic information/instructions and a pattern as a pdf with coloured crosses. Each cross on the pattern = one cross stitch. The pattern is stitched on 6 count binca material and obviously can be completed in any colour combinations. The border can be cross stitched, a simple back stitch or left blank. Have fun and I hope your pupils enjoy stitching the design.
