Revision questions for knowledge linked to the AQA specification. This revision sheet has questions for the trilogy biology nervous system section as well as the triple science biology. All triple science biology sections are indicated with (Bio Only).
These are set out one A4 page on the PDF. I print them four pages per sheet and double sided, so the ‘draw the symbol for…’ is on one side and the picture of the symbol is on the other. Students can use them to test if they can draw the symbol, or use them the other way up and see if they can remember the name of the symbol.
This lesson is designed for spec point 4.1.1.5 for the AQA trilogy course. It also has some activities for looking at microscope slides, in preparation for the required practical. One of the resources in this has been taken from the AQA website and adapted for the lesson. I hope this helps anybody teaching the course out there :)
For each of the biology only combined science required practicals, I have made a slide of quick fire questions, linked to the topic the RP is about (not necessarily just focused on the required practical), the next slide has pictures of the RP, that you can use for discussion and it has some prompts e.g. what are the variables? And the next slide contain the mark schemes and examiner reports for some past paper questions linked to the required practicals and the general topics they are based on. For each of them, I have also included a pdf of past paper questions linked to the required practical or based on the topic (if I was unable to find a suitable question linked to the RP). I really hope people find this useful, as a basis of running through/revising the required practicals.
Key information about the 5.2 Natural selection and evolution topic. I have split the triple information into a separate section so it is easy for students to navigate. I have left the text pretty plain, so students can highlight/underline as they wish to make it specific for them. I hope you and your students find this resource helpful for their revision.
I made these documents so when we go through a specification point in class students can keep a track. There is also space for them to date and RAG each time they go back over each specification point. This is a really quick and easy way for the student to track what they can do and what areas they need to improve on.

Two pages of the key information students need to know about the inheritance topic. I have highlighted the triple and higher only content. I have also included a small amount fo information on cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anaemia and Huntington’s disease, as the specification is vague about particular inherited disease that need to be known and these have commonly be used at GCSE in the past. I hope you and your students find this resource helpful.
