Check out this simple and fun Properties of Multiplication Foldable! The foldable has five tabs that include the commutative property, associative property, distributive property, identity property, and zero property. The page is color coded and has a space for a definition as well as an example. The foldable comes in both a colored version and a grayscale version; both of which have an Answer Key for your convenience! The document is meant to be printed back to back and then stapled in the spots already allocated to add durability! Students will then cut only the front where the dotted lines are that run horizontal and then fold the front half along the dark black line. Check out this awesome tutorial for students to reference on how to complete 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication. This package comes with two pages that include an example for students to reference and understand the steps as well as three practice templates that have very clear and organized spaces to fill in as they go. Students can easily glue this in their notebook and will build foundational knowledge as they develop this skill. Aligned with EngageNY and Common Core, check out this template that can easily be adapted for addition and subtraction using a place value chart as well as multiplying and dividing by tens, hundreds, etc. Students can also use this to help develop conceptual understanding of exponents and how this operations cause each number to "slide" up or down the place value chart as opposed to the decimal being the one that shifts. This can easily be laminated and written on using a dry erase marker, and/or used as worksheets to facilitate learning in class or for homework. The file comes in four differentiated versions that include or exclude various parts of the place value chart up to millions and down to ten thousandths.

Check out this higher level thinking Task Card where students are responsible to apply their learned skills to create and solve problems of their own. There are 5 questions in which individuals or groups can work to create one question that fulfills each of the following topics such as polygons, triangles, 3D shapes, quadrilaterals as well as finding volume. Once complete, students are to work independently to create their own answer key for their group's 5 questions. Students will be excited about the challenge and highly engaged. Students can also make their own based on this template as well. Each flash card covers one of the following: Mean, Median, Mode, and Range.
