This is a starter spreadsheet covering most topics your students will meet in Foundation GCSE Maths. It is similar to the one I created for Higher which was awarded Maths Resource of the week and can be found here https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/mathsshed-s-starter-spreadsheet-11121752. It is designed to save you lots of time as after an initial set up all your starters are automatically generated. It benefits your pupils by giving them lots of practice in those topics they need most, same questions but different numbers. Give them ten minutes at a number of targeted questions every lesson and they will rapidly acquire the skills required and become far more confident in their abilities. Excellent for mastery, interleaving, frequent testing, spacing and all at virtually no effort to yourself. All you need do is display on the board and then deliver a series of micro lessons when you go through the answers. All questions randomly generate simply by pressing the F9 button.

I took the idea of race round the clock multiplication sheets from Matt7, wrote a spreadsheet that randomised the multipliers and extended to idea to a few other scenarios. It's fairly easy to adapt, if anyone is unable to do so but wants a particular feature let me know in the comments section and I'll try update. Enjoy. This is an example of the print outs obtained from a spreadsheet I have produced. The spreadsheet uses randomly generating numbers to create a unique set of questions each time you press the F9 button. The main feature of this spreadsheet is that it allows you to modify the numerical range of questions. All questions are set for a maximum sum of 100 but if you need a question sheet for pupils with a maximum sum of 30, simply change the valuesin two cells and print it out. https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/bar-models-spreadsheet-maths-mastery-practise-11375053

Although labelled as homework, these files can be used in a number of ways. Files included; Excel random question generator Word file that can be printed as a booklet for pupils to work from As above with answers PDF copies of the two word files. The random question generator will generate a new set of questions when F9 is pressed. These questions have been copied and made up into a booklet containing seven sets of questions. If you require another booklet simply copy some questions and paste into the word document. Answers are provided to all questions. As always, make sure your school covers the cost of any purchase.

Some time ago I produced a homework booklet for GCSE year 1, it was fairly well received with favourable reviews and over 1300 downloads. https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/gcse-homework-booklet-11071682 This is a similar booklet aimed at level 3 pupils, each set has the following questions; a times table grid (2 to 9) x (1 to 10) four addition four subtraction four multiplication four division four fractions of a quantity (unitary fractions) four fractions of a quantity (non-unitary fractions) five rounding to the nearest ten Five rounding to the nearest hundred Three sequences. The random question generator will generate a new set of questions when F9 is pressed. These questions have been copied and made up into a booklet containing seven sets of questions. Battleshapes - The traditional game but uses coordinates rather than grid references

(0)
Battleships has often been used in the classroom but has led to pupils being confused between coordinates and grid references, this leads to problems when numbering axes (boxes rather than lines) Battleshapes seeks to address this by providing ships represented by a variety of 2D shapes. HMS Square, USS Rhombus, HMS Kite etc Pupils sink ships by hitting the corners of each shape. The resource is a Powerpoint file and is fully editable. To add some differentiation I have included sheets where the grid is numbered, partially numbered and not numbered. An additional sheet is included for those who prefer to talk about vertices rather than corners. As with any resource, please make sure your school pays for the resource and not you.
Mathsshed's Linear Sequences Spreadsheet

Mathsshed's Linear Sequences Spreadsheet

(1)
This spreadsheet has been designed for use in a couple of ways. 1. as a learning resource for pupils to use in their own time 2. as a lesson to be displayed on the board First are sheets that show how to find a sequence and specific terms in a sequence from the nth term. This is followed by a sheet of 24 questions. Next is a sheet showing how the nth term is found from a sequence and a sheet of 24 questions follows that. Finally there is a sheet describing the nth term of descending sequences and a sheet of 16 questions for practice. All lesson sheets have randomly generated examples that can be refreshed until the learners have a firm grasp of what is required. All practice sheets have randomly generated questions and macro buttons that allow answers to be revealed as a whole or individually. Make sure you enable macros and pass on any costs to your school. Thanks.

Following the review of the original starter spreadsheet as Premium Resource of the week I was particularly taken by the line " If answers were automatically generated, I would pay triple figures" , so rewriting the way some of the questions are generated has allowed me to add the answers for all questions. To ensure the pupils can’t see them they are hidden using macros so please ensure they are enabled, the buttons are clearly available at the top. The resource is a spreadsheet that will produce starter questions on topics of your choice. It will remove the need for you to think about the questions you are going to set, simply keep a copy of the spreadsheet for each class and switch on topics as you progress through the scheme of work. This spreadsheet is very easy to set up and gives you ten minutes at the start of a lesson to get the class settled and to get them revising the topics they have previously covered. If you download it please review the spreadsheet and always pass on the cost of any resources to your school. The review can be found here https://www.tes.com/teaching-resources/blog/tes-maths-rotw-gcse-starter-spreadsheet Thanks, Mathsshed

This is an Excel spreadsheet that replicates the questions from the 2016 KS2 Mathematics Paper 2 reasoning sampler. Each page has a number of questions providing valuable practice to your pupils in preparation for their tests, pressing F9 refreshes the questions and changes the numbers so you can give them the questions again. Of 20 questions on the paper I have been able to replicate 15 and of these 14 come with answers. Please make sure that you pass on any costs to your school.
