This is a complete 1-week unit of work focusing on the use of the short video - Alma. This is aimed at a Year 6 Class or HA Year 5 Class. It contains 5 lessons focusing on a descriptive writing element to the story, whereby the children develop their own suspense story focusing on setting; creating mood and atmosphere through descriptive vocabulary and using a wide range of suspense features. The fifth and final lesson can be split into two depending on the time allowed for the lesson and the ability of the children. Planning is included as well as two model WAGOLL’s.
