As there didn't seem to be a lot on this topic, I've put together some class notes on semiconductors and superconductors, written with the new Edexcel AS / A-level physics specification in mind, but applicable to all specifications.
A couple of bits are based on the IoP's TAP 110 notes, as is the final superconductor research task (TAP 110-3 - available elsewhere on the site).
Mistakes are my own - please let me know if you spot any egregious errors and I will correct.

Revision slides for GCSE Physics and GCSE Combined Science (physics) required practicals.
These slides summarise the main points relating to the Force and Extension Required Practical for use when reviewing Required Practicals during revision. Also included are practise questions about the Required Practical.
The slides are formatted to A4 so that they can easily be printed.
A resource to aid students who say “I don’t know how to revise.”
Students use learning checklists to identify their weakest areas in a topic, and then follow the revision methodology in the sheet to review, practise, diagnose problems and improve.
Includes extra guidance on revision and how to improve.
Review questions and answers for the AQA GCSE Physics and GCSE Combined Science electromagnetism topic. Would suitable as end of topic review or for revision.

Part of a set of Physics in Context tasks given to our year 10 and 11 students studying GCSE Physics and GCSE Science A / Additional Science (AQA 2012 specs). Each task was a scenario-based extended piece of writing, assessed out of 25 marks, with some marks given for QWC, referencing, word count etc.
The same task was given to all ability groups, with additional support and scaffolding provided by teachers as appropriate for lower ability groups. The tasks were generally given at the end of the relevant topic.
Students found these tasks useful for understanding the role that physics plays in our everyday lives, and also for preparing them for contextual questions in exams.
Please be aware that some of the links in these pdf files may be out of date as some of these tasks were written quite a while ago - I'll try to update them if I get time. I hope in any case that they may provide inspiration for similar activities.

A pro-forma for tracking students' progress in the apparatus and techniques and working scientifically statements in the new GCSE Physics Required Practicals.
Also includes a sheet mapping the required practicals to the various apparatus and techniques and working scientifically statements. The information is taken from the AQA spec, but should be relevant to all specifications.
