This is a resource that is providing tips on how to answer the questions in AS Cambridge International Music Exam. Examples from questions from past papers are used. The resource includes: Section A - 4 examples of answering question 3 a 4 examples of answering question 3 b Section B - 3 essays on Peer Gynt 3 essays on Scheherazade 5 essay on La Cathedrale Engloutie Section C - 12 essays on various Section C questions that might come up Even though this resource is for 2023/24 exams the answers in Section A and C can prove useful regardless of the year of examination.

This is a 93-slide Powerpoint that includes a full analysis of the CIAE 9483 Set Work - Scheherazade. The resource also includes some examples and answers of exam style questions. A link to a video recording of the piece A full score of the work Where possible the slides include screenshots from the score. I’ve used it for teaching the set work to my students and has worked really well. The resource can prove to be a bit wordy but can easily be adapted and activities can come up from the slides.

This is a simple but very effective PPT to teach Key Signatures. It’s a step by step approach that does not require going over the Circle of 5ths which - in my experience - just leaves students confused. It also includes a worksheet Slide for practice at the end of the PPT.
