Paper 1:Natural Hazards recall question grids- tectonics, weather and climate change with answers

This resource is designed to ensure AQA GCSE geography students memorise the core knowledge for each topic in the Natural Hazards unit and practice real-style exam questions and self-assessment with model answers. Each topic within the Natural Hazards unit has GCSE style exam questions and model answers which students can use to revise through memory techniques like look, cover, write and check. It is in an editable powerpoint format as you may wish to adapt wording based on your own marking experience or the needs of your class. Teachers can use the resource as weekly homeworks- set one column of questions/answers for students to memorise, give them the questions as a test and allow students to self-assess and correct misconceptions, a printable test layout is included on the last slide for this purpose. These were created by myself after recognising a lack of base core knowledge of our students post-Covid and a lack of confidence generally when answering exam questions. These grids have been used for weekly homeworks over 2 years now and have improved confidence as well as outcomes for students- happy to email the powerpoint I use to introduce the point of the homework and how to revise for it. It is especially useful to interleave revision and assign students specific topics as I have the entire paper 1 and paper 2 recall grids for each topic (also listed here).
