All questions come with answers or full worked solutions.
Diffraction and interference for AS Waves 9702 CIE Unit 8
This lesson covers a recap of diffraction from GCSE, followed by looking at interference. We then look at Youngs double slit experiment, before the students perform it themselves, in an attempt to find the wavelength of red or green light (will need laser and double slit grating for this, along with a long tape measure) Designed for Cambridge (CIE) unit 9702, for 2022 onward and 2025 specification.
All questions come with answers or full worked solutions.
Diffraction grating for AS Waves 9702 CIE Unit 8
This lesson is on the using the diffraction grating formula We then look at how the formula is used to determine the wavelength of light, before the students perform a practical themselves, in an attempt to find the wavelength of red or green light (will need laser and double slit grating for this, along with a long tape measure) Designed for Cambridge (CIE) unit 9702, for 2022 onward and 2025 specification.
All questions come with answers or full worked solutions.
Standing sound wave practical for AS Waves 9702 CIE Unit 8
This lesson looks at standing waves in closed end tubes, showing where nodes and antinodes are formed. It then moves on to a practical task, in which students determine the speed of air in sound (equipment required = tube, 250ml measuring cylinder and a mobile phone). Designed for Cambridge (CIE) unit 9702, for 2022 onward and 2025 specification.
All questions come with answers or full worked solutions.
