This is a revision summary sheet which is designed to be used in class or as a piece of revision homework. It is tailored to the GCSE 9-1 CC16-CC17 unit of the Edexcel Chemistry course. I suggest that lower ability pupils use the Edexcel textbook to help them complete this summary sheet.

This is a whole lesson based on Science Spot’ Christmas chromatography activity. It is aimed at KS3 Science students, but can be done with KS2 or KS4 SEN pupils also. The aim is to get pupils producing hanging Christmas decorations using chromatography. It is an alternative to watching a video at the end of term. The resource is fully editable and can be easily adapted. It is assumed that pupils have some knowledge of chromatography already, although this is not necessary for them to do the activity.

This is an entire lesson for the 9-1 GCSE Edexcel CC17b unit. This is aimed at lower ability pupils, but can be easily modified to make it more challenging. The Edexcel worksheets are required for this lesson.

This is a whole lesson for the Edexcel CC3c unit of the GCSE combined science course. It is easy to edit, but the edexcel worksheets and access to the online video are needed. Alternative videos can be used. If you have more time, a practical lesson can be done in a second lesson/second half of a lesson to reinforce ideas.

This is a summary revision sheet for CC5 only. It is follows the Edexcel Chemistry combined science/single science specification. It can be set as homework or used in lessons along with the textbook as part of a revision lesson.
