Lesson covers the following learning objectives: How are plant cells specialised to carry out a particular function? How do the structure of different plant cells relate to their function? How do plant organs work together to transport substances? The lesson focuses on using dual coding to improve memory recall. It also includes a worksheet found within the PowerPoint which reflects prior learning covered on the topic of 1.3 cells.

This resource is aimed to teach pupils the following learning objectives: How do cells transport substances? How do we investigate osmosis in plant cells? When I deliver this lesson, I tend to start the practical first before I go through the cell substance transport theory to ensure we get enough time to see some results. Lesson is focused on using dual coding to help pupils with memory retrieval.

The LO for this lesson is: To be able to describe ancient theories of the solar system and what people saw to believe this. This was taught to year 8’s and includes a few video links to watch, followed by questions for pupils to answer. Hope you find this useful.
