Place value grids that help children see the process of exchanging when using concrete methods. Great for both exchanging for addition and subtraction. Boards include T & O, H, T and O, Th, H, T and O, HTh, Th, H, T & O, decimal exchange.

Dominoes based on key words. Grouped into smaller groups so that children can access easily.

A simple set of bingo games that you can use during guided reading, phonics sessions etc. Each bingo board has a nonsense word highlighted by an alien picture.

Division grids for children to use when using concrete methods in maths lessons. Allows the children to clearly see where there concrete objects can go before moving on to an abstract method. Fantastic resource for those children who are visual / hands on learners.

As part of our topic I created these resources to show children where different foods come from. We looked at the UK and then the world. The resources are in both word and pdf for ease.

Grids 2-9 to aid multiplication of 2-digit and 1-digit numbers using concrete materials. The grids are more suited to the use of place value coins rather than base ten. Can also be used for repeated addition.

These resources support the small steps unit on counting objects, based on the planning provided by White Rose Maths. The worksheets include varied fluency, in this unit there are no reasoning and problem solving. The documents are in word and pdf for ease of use. There is an additional practical ideas sheet.

A simple activity of rolling the dice and then writing the common exception word that the dice number shows. There are two versions available: 1 - cursive version 2 - non cursive There are individual mats available as well as in one set for ease of printing back to back. Ideal for laminating and having access to for those early finishers.

These common exception word lists have been created so that they fit inside word books 8 inches by 4 inches. As a teacher I have places year 1 words at the front of the book and year 2 words at the back for year 1s and vice versa for year 2. When children refer to spellings we can show them where to find them.

Year 1 maths organisers to support the units below. The knowledge organisers are in PDF version. One is in a dyslexia friendly font and the other in a cursive font. Numbers to 20 Numbers to 50 Addition and Subtraction - within this, there is an addition KO, Subtraction not crossing 10 KO and a Subtraction crossing 10 KO.

What makes a number? These visual aids help children to see what a number is. On the poster there are eight different ways to represent the number - word, base 10, ten frame, objects, tally, fingers, place value counters, dice face. I am encouraging children to use different ways to represent a number so that they understand the value each number rather than just recognising.

These games are aimed to help children to read through enjoyment. Each games is either phonics or reading based. Simple games for children to either access as a small group or through group interventions.

My children struggled with the structure of the phonics books and so I have compiled a selection of books that follow the principle of the phonic screening checks. My class love them and they are much more familiar with the phonic check then previously.

Using the language associated with Bee Bots, children navigate around the board to find different cities.

A collection of worksheets based on a weeks work on ordering numbers and finding one more and one less. Could be used in connection with spicy challenges.
