This is a set of 17 well designed worksheets to practise times tables and divisions up to 12 x 12. However, you can change the times tables on page 1 of the spreadsheet and ALL the sheets will change so that the chosen times table can be practised. Also, each individual sheet can be randomised so that no two sheets are the same (and can be used again and again). This gives you easy access to 1000s of worksheets. Simply choose the times table, randomise and print (each sheet has been set up for easy printing). Answer sheets are also generated for your convenience or for self-assessment. This is a five lesson Symmetry unit of work for Year 4. Extension activity involves the children investigating symmetry in the alphabet. Lesson 3 involves the children identifying and drawing lines of symmetry into patterns/designs. The challenge activity: identifying a reflected pattern. Lesson 4 involves the children completing symmetrical figures by reflecting across a mirror-line. The challenge activity: Complete a symmetrical figure on various different types of grids and questions for deeper understanding. This is a collection of mental maths papers for Year 4. The spreadsheet includes four sheets differentiated four ways (LA, MA, HA and Challenge) and includes answer sheets. What makes these different to other published mental maths material, is that each sheet can be randomised by simply pushing F9 on your keyboard, so there are almost an unlimited combination of questions for each paper. This means they can be used as often as you like with very little repetition. Use them daily, weekly, termly or as you wish. Use them for early bird, homework or to regularly assess the children's mental computation. Also included on the sheet is a record sheet if you wish to track pupil progress - simply fill in the names and record the results in the grid (scores will be colour coded for easy analysis). The previews represent just a fraction of the sheets that can be produced! This is a Spring Term Maths Assessment for Year 4 (uploaded in PDF and Word format, which is editable). ALL Year 4 maths objectives (NC 2014) are covered in the assessment. Also included is a mark scheme, instructions, tracking sheets and a spreadsheet to record the results and to give you an overall grade. The Spring assessment will allow children to demonstrate they are either below, working towards, meeting or exceeding the Year 4 objectives. This method of assessment quickly allows you not just to see individual pupils' weaknesses, but also weaknesses within the class and provides the teacher with an excellent evidence base.
