This lesson is for KS3 or KS4 and introduces the main beliefs of Sikhism and the life of Guru Nanak including the River Miracle. There is also a worksheet to accompany the lesson. This is a 90 minute lesson but can be shortened easily.
This is a 10-15 minute assembly about World Hunger Day, specifically in 2022 but could easily be adapted for other years.
It is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12) and includes a point of reflection/discussion activity at the end that could easily be lengthened with planning an activity if you wanted it to last for a 60-90 minute lesson instead. It was used as an assembly for the whole school Ages 11-18 and was received very well by the students.

This session fits into the Citizenship and PSHE curriculum but also covers SMSC, History, Geography and Fundamental British Values. Students reacted very well to this as an assembly and many interesting discussions came from it.

This is a 15 minute assembly exploring the role of UNICEF in the world. It has three downloaded videos that will never disappear about their work. There is some more information and discussion activities. It was originally a PSHE tutor time session for Year 8 and does not have any written tasks. It can be used for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and forms part of the Keeping Safe in Education Safeguarding guidance, the new RSE & Health Curriculum and the current PSHE and Citizenship criteria. This lesson can easily be lengthened for two seperate hour long lessons if needed. The students reacted very positively to this lesson.
This is a 10-15 minute assembly about the recent news stories about racism in cricket focusing on the importance of thinking before posting on social media. it is suitable for all year groups from Year 6 - Year 13 (KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5, Ages 10-18) and can be used for an assembly, tutor time session, whole school, PSHE or Citizenship session. It can easily be lengthened by changing the discussion activities to written ones for it to last a whole lesson. There are two short youtube clip which are downloaded so they will never disappear. It is narrated but you can delete this by clicking on the icon and pressing delete. It covers: what the recent news stories are regarding cricket (mentioning Azeem Rafiq & Tim Paine), why we should be wary of what we post on social media or send in messages, how to control your digital footprint, how your future can be affected by your actions on social media as a child or young adult. It also shows the connection with a slide on Fundamental British Values, the UN Rights of a Child and a point of Reflection. There are links to the news and other extension activities looking at quotes which teachers can use or students can have as an extension activity on an online platform or for homework. This was originally designed as a citizenship tutor time session for KS3, KS4 and KS5 for November - December 2021.
This is a worksheet that can be used as part of a lesson about how Martin Luther King was inspired by Jesus’ teachings from the Bible. It focuses on 4 key Bible verses and asks pupils to explain how Martin Luther King Jr acted on those Biblical teachings. This is a full lesson on the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It contains reading, written tasks, comprehension, discussion, a plenary quiz and extension activities. It was originally a 90 minute Year 8 lesson but could be shortened very easily or be used for KS2 or KS4.
These assemblies all form part of a PSHE, Citizenship and Health Curriculum. These are all 10-20 minute tutor time sessions on important issues.

This lesson contains a review about smoking with a quiz and a competition. This was originally part of a PSHE day on smoking for Year 7 but can be used from KS2 - KS4 (Ages 7-16) as a standalone lesson or part of another lesson about smoking. It discusses questions about the law, addiction and chemicals and ends with a competition task for pupils to complete.
