Lesson 1: How are waves formed?
Students place the cards into the correct order showing how waves are formed, including an extension task regarding the fetch and the strength of a wave. Students are to complete a fill in the blank activity. Students are introduced to key words and they are explained, students are to write these in their books. Students are to sketch the diagram of the wave and then answer a series of questions based on the diagram. Destructive and Constructive waves are then introduced to the class, they must create a table and write down the features of them. Students finish the lesson with a key question: Why are some waves stronger and bigger than others?
