This lesson combines the location of the Ecosystems with the reason why they are located at certain parts of the world - Global Atmospheric Circulation. To start students are to colour code the world map using the information provided and then answer the question: Describe the distribution of Tropical Rainforests, Deserts, or Coniferous Forests. This is aided by sentence starters and key words, students can also peer assess this answer. (Lesson 2) Students are to then watch a video to explain GAC. They are then to circulate the room and collect information about the different types of ecosystems, including an extension question. This could be completed in one lesson depending on the ability of the class.
